Travis Ranch School held its annual carnival on the 19th with a theme of Superheroes at the Carnival Zoo at Travis. It involved students of all ages and had everything you could think of to have a great time. From capes to a superhero training booth this year’s theme was a hit! There were game booths, entertainment, and refreshments. Anyone, could find something fun to do! Throughout the evening there are various performances from the school’s own colorguard, jazz band, and orchestra, and featuring a local group from the World Martial Arts Center and a magician.

Not only were there performances, but there were game booths galore! Some booths that were particularly popular were the Sandy Candy, Silly String, and food venues. Along with fun and games, parents had an opportunity to get involved by visiting the silent auction. Items included Disneyland Park Hopper Tickets, Lakers Tickets, a weekend getaway to Big Bear, Angel Tickets, and many more, including 22 amazing class baskets.

Many people come to the carnival to have an amazing time with friends and family, but others come to help out for their community service hours. When helping they are involved with with the game booths, food booths, and even some were MCs for the evening. Eighth grader, Brooke Richey played the role of MC and enjoyed the opportunity of making the event fun for others, “ Being an MC was fun, when introducing performers, and cracking jokes for the crowd, I would definitely do it again.”

Once again because of all the help from others and the vision of the PTA, the carnival was another huge success.
