Wonder Woman 1984 is a new movie that came out in December 2020. With the new plot, villains, graphics, and characters it was a great experience. The DCU has disappointed some fans in the past but has redeemed itself with these movies. The new and exciting plot and timeline can keep you interested in the movie. It gave us flashbacks to the original Wonder Woman and new memories. In the end, they tied it up but did leave a cliffhanger for another movie.

I went around and asked some people at Travis Ranch about their opinion on the new Wonder Woman. Hannah Ruhe stated, “My favorite part was when she destroyed Maxwell with the teleprompter, and my least favorite part was when the bad Maxwell son was wandering the streets.”  At PBIS was swarming with people with good opinions and ideas on the movie. “Pedro Pascal (Maxwell Lord) wasn’t really a villain if you think about it. He did do some bad things with the power but he regained his humanity. Kristen Wiig (cheetah) was more the villain because she didn’t regain her kindness and humanity. Here’s a little fun fact one of my friends created Kristen Wiig’s cheetah design,” Mr. Gillete explained.   

The new plotline is astonishing. At the beginning of, the movie it gets us a look into Diana’s new life outside of wonder woman and her job as an archeologist. We actually get to see the villain form from a wholesome girl to a selfish villain. Many infer that the crystal is the actual villain because it takes away your best trait in return for your wish. For Wonder Woman it took away her powers, in return, she got to spend time with her one true love. Barbara Ann Minerva (Cheetah) got her humanity taken away so she could become an “apex predator”. Those insights into her becoming Ccheetah. Unfortunately, Barbra does not regain her humanity. Wonder Woman regains her powers and is able to defeat Maxwell and Barbra. Before the big battle between cheetah and Wonder Woman, she finds the armor that belonged to asteria and wins the big battle.

Finally, it may be concluded that Wonder Woman was a new and exciting movie. It made us laugh, cry, and add tension. We loved the movie and are so excited for the new one that they’rethere making. Let’s hope the new one is as good as the 1st and 2nd movie.
