Cliffhanger, my personal favorite. Making people spin out of control yet still making them have fun. I think it’s kinda like life, things are out of control but you can still make your best times in them.
Hello everyone, My name is Kyle Khong, I am 14 years old, Vietnamese student, and pretty smart. I traveled around to lots of places and learned lots of street knowledge. That for me is kinda like a hobby, I want to explore places and know what’s good there and what’s bad there. I also like being successful, I am kinda behind compared to my smart friends, and I don’t really like that. I want to either be better or the same as them, I want to close the gap between our skills. It’s more of a thing to prove I am worth something and not of me trying to show off. But just a tiny bit of that though to make things fun. Some feats that prove I am better than my friends are, I have lots more connections and I am NJHS president. I made a whole student tutoring program, and I think that’s a pretty cool accomplishment. I really enjoy making things, like one time I tried making a Halloween costume but it ended horribly, and the experience of it was thrilling. I enjoy some anime and manga as well. That’s pretty much it.
My favorite memory that I would put in a short story is when I went to a State Leadership Competition for HOSA. It was March 23, 2022 My group of 6 was heading to a competition about public health, and our topic was about oral health. Our team worked hard on our presentation and our video to convince us why we should go to the competition smoothly. Our “compelling” reasons to go were quite vulgar but we still didn’t want to back out. We worked very hard and we wanted to see that work pay off. The first day we got there we had to present to the judges, and we messed up a lot. One of my teammates froze mid-speech and so we had to do it for him. The days after that were lax, we had fun doing some random challenges and exploring the plazas there. The last day is when we get to know if we won any rewards, when our category of public health came up we were hyped, and when our names came up we were ecstatic. We walked up the stage and won bronze. You might be thinking the third place is not that good, but a win was still a win for us. In those few days, I learned that luck was on our side, hard work pays off, and I learned some tips if I were to be by myself when traveling.
