This picture connects to me because my dog helps me through hard times and is always there for me.
Hello, my name is Khloe Manriquez. I would like to be called Charlie. My pronouns are she/her. I am from Mexico.
I really enjoy the snow and Kpop, or just music in general. I think I am most motivated when I am challenged. One thing I’d love to share with others is Mexican food. I think everyone should try it. Mexican food is the best, and most people would like it.
One of my favorite memories is on December 13, 2021. It was sometime around Christmas. That day, my parents had left to get something from the store. They had gone for nearly three hours or more. The only people at home were me, my aunt, and my sister. During those long hours, my sister and I started playing around, chasing each other around the house. I was some monster, trying to eat her. Just as I almost caught her, the doorbell rang, and I froze, waiting for my aunt to open the door. She had, and my sister and I got closer. I felt tears reaching for my eyes. They were punching my pupil, making my sight blurry. I couldn’t believe it. Was I dreaming? Suddenly my eyesight widened. It was the cutest thing ever!
A small golden doodle puppy, all brown except for the nose, chest, top part of the head, and tips of arms, legs, and ears, which were white. She was so small and cold outside…my puppy was in a small metal truck, shivering in the cold. I remember picking her up and hugging her to my chest. We both interchanged body warmth, and I was so content. Now, my puppy, Romelie, is a year old~! This picture is special because this photograph taken by me features my dog, Romelie, and she is a special someone to me in my heart and in my life. |
