Travis Ranch’s 2021-2022 Yearbook received a banner from Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence.

During the 2021-2022 school year, Travis Ranch Middle School was recognized for “striving to create and deliver an exceptional yearbook for every student” by the yearbook-establishing company, Jostens. They sent us a banner to hang up, to show off our achievements. Our wonderful Yearbook committee achieved this goal by meeting all deadlines, selling a yearbook to at least seventy percent of the school’s population, and picturing at least fifty percent of Travis Ranch Middle School’s students at least 3 times. This year,

To receive a banner from Jostens, the yearbook made has to meet these three requirements; Meeting all deadlines, selling a yearbook to seventy percent of the school, and picturing fifty percent of the school at least three times. These are just the statistics we must meet before the school year’s end.

“The National Yearbook Program of Excellence Award is given based on the extraordinary efforts that go into creating a yearbook and making it accessible to every student. Our criteria includes: A Meaningful Yearbook For All Students, A Yearbook In Every Student’s Hands, Effective Project Management” – (Jostens: https://www.jostens.com/yearbooks/advisers-and-staff/contests-and-awards/yearbook-excellence )

We are proud of our Yearbook Staff and wish to accomplish getting a banner again this year. It is an honor to earn these banners, knowing that last year’s committee worked hard and strived to be the best designers and producers possible. This achievement from Jostens shows how dedicated the last year’s members were; proving how much they cared and loved working/distributing the Travis Ranch Middle School yearbook.

“We met all the deadlines, tagged at least fifty percent of the school’s population, and sold a yearbook to eighty percent of the school. In terms of how we achieved that, we had a small group of dedicated students who continuously worked hard and strived to be better and tagged as many pictures as possible in the yearbook. There were also parents. Some parents actually wanted to buy yearbooks. Overall, there was just a great community of people last year.” – Ms. Chen.

The Jostens Banners for the yearbook have been earned from 2015 to 2022. This means every year, we have succeeded in earning these banners by turning in our pages on time, selling the yearbook to at least seventy percent of our school population, and picturing at least fifty percent of the school’s staff and students. It was truly amazing receiving this achievement, and we wish to receive it again.
